Excellent theories. I believe Bell crossed over (possibly around the time Walter went over to steal Peter?) and brought back info or inventions that helped build his Massive Dynamic empire. He visited Walter in the sanitarium to get ideas from Walter and keep Walter sedated. Finally he did the operation on Walter to keep his secret safe. The futuristic "watch" with the stability symbol Bell is wearing in the surgery scene must be from the alternate reality? Maybe it had something to do with using the portal. thanks!
