Oprah Will Close Down “The Oprah Winfrey Show”

Its true!  I just read about it in yahoo news. Oprah announced to her viewers last Friday that she will “dim the lights” on “The Ophrah Winfrey Show” by late 2011 after its 25th season.

“I love this show. This show has been my life. And I love it enough to know when it’s time to say goodbye,” she said, holding back tears. “Twenty-five years feels right in my bones, and it feels right in my spirit. It’s the perfect number, the exact right time.”

Oprah said that she intend to produce the best possible shows during the final two years. She is also expected to start a new talk show in her “OWN” network (Oprah Winfrey Network).

There will surely be a big gap in afternoon programming because of this news. I guess the TV stations still has enough time to come up with something before that time.

I love Oprah’s show and I like the topics that is being discussed on her show. It is such a relevant topic in our daily lives. I think that’s why people respect her so much and why people will going to miss her show.
